Super Rugby Round Up: Week 10

Super Rugby Round Up: Week 10

It was a great weekend for most of the teams in the SA Conference sector with victories secured by The Lions, Sharks, Bulls and Jaguares. Let’s take a closer look at what took place this weekend.

The Emirates Lions made history on Friday when they took down the Waratahs 29-0 in Sydney. The Lions set a new record and became the first ever South African team to keep the opposing team scoreless while playing abroad. The Lions had a solid defence line and went into halftime with 7 points in the board thanks to a try from Madosh Tambwe. The second half was filled with 3 more trys from Kwagga Smith, Harold Vorster and Marnus Schoeman.

The Bulls played the Rebels on their stomping ground in Pretoria with a convincing 28-10 win. Adriaan Strauss secured his fifth try of the season with Jesse Kriel, Divan Rossouw and Andre Warner adding the rest of the points. This marks the Bulls third consecutive win.
